Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Kyle Croasmun. I would like to tell you a little about myself. I’m currently age 29. I am born and still do live in Indiana, United States. Growing into the person I am today. I have enjoyed playing games, watching media, working my first job and making fond memories. When I was younger, I enjoyed playing outside like every other kid. My best friend at the time introduced me to a video game on some block (Xbox) in a dark room. Upon Turing it on, I thought it sucked. However, when he put in the video game, {Halo} I was in shock. To make this memory short. I’ve loved video games media ever sense. It was at this point I grew my long-term interest to one day contribute to a video game myself.

Enjoying activities like choir and meeting all kind of people have taught me some useful life lessons and enjoyed many exciting and memorable times. After going through an interesting spine surgery during my high school years. While also making my poor first computer game “black watch” a 2d side scroller zombie shooter. I realized that I have been a consumer my whole life. When I looked back, I had almost nothing to show for all the time I have spent. It was then I decided I wanted to make something. I tried my hand in programing, I didn’t like it though. It was during the collage classes I was taking in high school for 4 semesters that changed things for me. I touched base with 3DS Max/Maya (modeling software) and WordPress(web design) I enjoyed these infinitely more.

I want to be the person to help make something others can enjoy. I would strive to one day make the next “halo like masterpiece”. However growing up, I have also broadened my horizons. I have decided I would like to contribute to making creations. While I will still be open to other avenues of work that is where I want to be.

I have been told many discouraging things pertaining to a few career paths, They may be right. However, if everyone is told that, how are jobs still being filled? My resolve is not that weak to give up. I went to collage to learn skills, so that I would earn or make my chance.
